GANA Announced Keith McCoy to Speak at Glass Week

The Glass Association of North America (GANA) announced that Keith McCoy, Vice President and senior lobbyist on energy issues for the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), would address its members during the upcoming Glass Week conference event in Las Vegas later this month. McCoy is also the executive director of the Business Network for Environmental Justice, a voluntary organization of business, corporations, industry trade associations, industry service providers and business groups interested in environmental justice issues. Additionally, he serves on the National Advisory Council for the Corporate Wetlands Restoration Partnership, a unique private/public partnership to restore wetlands and other aquatic habitats in the United States. He will discuss the current status of the green movement in Washington, D.C., as well as implications for the glass and glazing industry.

"We are very excited to have McCoy speak to our members," explained Bill Yanek, GANA Executive Vice President. "He is on the front lines in Congress and has a vantage point that will be incredibly valuable for those in the industry trying to gauge what effect energy legislation and code changes will have on their business."

McCoy is currently the Vice President for Energy and Resources Policy at NAM, a broad-based association located in Washington, D.C. In this capacity, Mr. McCoy serves as the senior lobbyist before Congress and the Administration on energy, climate change, chemical security, hazardous and solid waste, the Clean Water Act, the Safe Drinking Water Act, wetlands, the Endangered Species Act, waste minimization and environmental justice issues. He will speak as part of a special U.S. Senate presentation on energy during the Glass Week Membership General Session at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 27th at the Paris Las Vegas Resort and Casino.
