GANA Account Executive Celebrates Decade with Association

GANA Account Executive Ashley Charest recently celebrated her ten year anniversary working for the Association.  Hired by ASC (GANA's management company) in 1999 as GANA's Meeting Planner, Charest was named as GANA's Account Executive a year later.

"Working in the glass and glazing industry for ten years now, I am privileged to know the strong and respected individuals that make up this unique industry, "said Charest of her time with GANA.  "Amazing advancements have taken place just within the time I have spent working for GANA, and I look forward to watching the changes over the next multitude of years."

Working for GANA was Charest's first and only job after college.  She received her Bachelor of Arts Mass Media with an emphasis on Public Relations from Washburn University in December 1999.  She continued her education while working for GANA, earning a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Washburn University in December 2006.  She also earned her Certification in Non Profit Management in May 2009.  She joined the Kansas Society of Association Executives in 2001, as well as the American Society of Association Executives in 2007.  She is currently working towards her Certified Association Executive (CAE), and expects to take the comprehensive accreditation exam in May of this year.

"Volunteers are the heart of GANA," said Charest.  "I am honored to work with the finest individuals that truly have their industry at heart. Our jobs are made easier by the continuous work that our members put in to make GANA the success it is today."
