LCA, EPD and PCR Update
Presented by the ED Sustainability Taskforce
As demands for understanding and defining sustainability and "green" buildings increase, the industry and GANA members must explore options that help end users evaluate and implement glass and glazing products. The GANA Energy Division has been, and continues to lead efforts that elevate glass and glazing products as a sustainable material. The most recent approach has included the exploration of LCAs and EPDs for glass and glazing products. Last Spring, GANA hosted a member-wide webinar discussing the topic followed by the distribution of a member survey. GANA members are invited to attend a presentation that continues to examine the topic. The presentation will cover various scenarios for development and will also provide an update on the development of the processed glass PCR.
