Tubelite Inc. manufactures and distributes tested architectural aluminum entrances, storefronts, mid-rise curtainwalls, and operable windows for commercial construction in the USA. The company was started in 1945 by James T. Miller, after leaving a large architectural aluminum manufacturer in Niles, Michigan. The company returned to private ownership in 1995 after management by a number of corporate parents since the 1960’s. Tubelite now has two locations; our corporate office and warehouse / distribution facility in Walker, Michigan, and extrusion operation in Reed City, Michigan. Tubelite sells directly to selected glass and glazing subcontractors throughout the country, and also through a growing network of independent distributors.

Both Tubelite locations use continuous improvement and lean manufacturing concepts to provide exceptional service at competitive prices. In June of 2002 a new extrusion press and handling system was installed at the Reed City plant to assist with reaching our goal of providing the best lead-times in the industry. Our Walker fabrication location was upgraded with two CNC milling machines for the same reason during that time.

Product is delivered directly to Tubelite Clients via it’s company operated “DFG” (Damage Free Guarantee) freight system or by common carrier. Clients who request the unique DFG delivery system are added to a regular weekly or bi-weekly truck route, and enjoy virtually no freight related damage on their orders.

Other company services include structural calculations provided by Tubelite’s Engineering Department, and project cost estimates through company personnel or a variety of software applications. Tubelite estimating software is available from the DeMichele Group and is compatible with their other programs. The Tubelite catalog is available for the GDS pricing program, and Tubelite also has a simple spreadsheet program for pricing grocery lists.

High-quality finishes are applied by Linetec of Wausau, Wisconsin. Anodized colors from Clear and Champagne to Black carry our standard 2-year warranty. Fifteen economical standard painted colors are offered in 50% Kynar formulas and have a standard 5-year guarantee. A wide range of economical in-house blendable 50% and 70% colors are also available, along with custom exotic, metallic and mica colors.
